What moves the price
- Stripping the old render: if the existing coat is failed or hollow it must come off first, typically £20–40 per m2 on 2026 quotes, before the new system goes on.
- Substrate condition: blown brickwork, repointing or crack stitching are priced on inspection, no calculator sees them from the kerb.
- Detailing: bay windows, bands, bell casts and stop beads add labour; plain elevations price at the bottom of the range.
- Region: London and the South East commonly quote above these typical ranges.
How long the job takes
A straightforward semi typically runs one to two weeks on site: scaffold up, preparation and beading, base and top coats with curing time between, scaffold down. Weather stretches it, renders have minimum temperatures and monocouche in particular dislikes rain on fresh work, so autumn and winter jobs carry more programme risk.
